The Main purpose of this research is to study the relationship between the level of corporate globalization, the corporate culture and Global Identity of members of the top Management team. Thirty nine Israeli Hi-tech, public multinational corporations and 129 members of top management teams participated in the study. Characteristics of companies which are undergoing the process of globalization are also discussed.
At the corporate level, as companies become more global, the perceived value of Innovation and flexibility decreased and the value of Organizational and Social responsibility increased. Similarly, members of top management teams of global companies rated the values of Innovation and flexibility, Quality, Customer Orientation, Trust and People Orientation lower than members of less globalized firms. With regards to personal characteristics of the top management team, those who work for more global firms had a higher level of global identity than those working for less globalized companies.
