|Subject||Development of Safety Manual for Operation, Maintenance|
and Servicing of Steam Boilers
|Department||Department of Quality Assurance and Reliability||Supervisor||Mr. Juda Kaufman|
The Safety Manual developed in the framework of the final paper is trying to address today's existing problems in the field of steam boilers safety, by determining rules and supplying recommendations for the ways of proper boilers operation and examination for getting safety in occupation, and of proper maintenance of the boilers for their safe operation - of course while maintaining general safety rules for the workers.
This final paper is relying first of all on Israeli safety laws, regulations and standards, minimum requirements for the design, operation and maintenance of steam boilers were collected - but because of lack of detailing, fully understanding and proper procedures given in the Israeli documents - complementary material was gathered also (and mainly) from national and international regulations, standards, professional literature and other relevant documents such as "Codes of Practice" from around the world.
All the relevant material gathered from the literature sources detailed above was translated and processed into one paper - The Safety Manual for Steam Boilers.
The Safety Manual is designated mainly for the use of employers which are operating in their facility one or more steam boilers, steam boiler operators, certified boiler inspectors and in fact everyone who comes in touch with steam boilers, and although Safety Manual is following the Israeli safety laws and regulations and is designated for systems operating in the autonomic boarders of the state of Israel, most of the Manual is based on national and international regulations, standards and documents from around the world there is no prevention in validating the Manual in other countries.
