Selected Topics of Waves in Fluids Will Be Discussed with Emphasis on the Generality of the Phenomena and Their Applications to Various Fields of Engineering, Physics, Meteorology and Oceanography. the Selected Topics Include: Applications of Linear Water Wave Theory to Ocean Engineering and Ship Design: Nonlinear Water Wave Theory and Its Applications to Coastal Engineering: and Forecasting of Water Waves, Solitons, Plasma Waves, Shock Wave Dynamics, Wave Phenomena in Nonlinear Heat Transfer, Wave Phenomena in the Atmosphere and Oceans, and Problems of Wave Resonance.
