Basic Principles in Drug Discovery, the Wide Range of Molecules Such as Peptides, Peptidomimetics/Small Molecules and Proteins as Potential Therapeutics Against Various Diseases. Various Examples of Well-Known Drugs as Insulin, Hiv Protease Inhibitors, Epo Will Discuss. the Course Will Cover the Discovery Processes That Lead to a Particular Drug and How Chemistry Plays a Vital Role in This Process, Chemical Synthesis( Synthesis, Structure Based Design, Etc.). at the End of the Course the Student Will Know:
1. the Discovery Process That Lead to New Drugs.
2. the Contribution of Chemistry to These Processes.
3. the Complexity of the Drug Discovery Process.
4. the Different Research Areas That Are Involved in This Process Such as Targets Identification and Sturcture Activity Relationship.
