Energy Bands and Band Structure, Optical Absorption, Transport of Carriers at Low and High Electric Fields, Recombination of Excess Carriers, Galvanomagnetic Effects. Experimental Methods Will Be Stressed and a Few Selected Devices (E.G. Esaki Diodes and Semiconductors Lasers) Will Be Discussed.
