In This Course, Students Will Learn the Basis for Solving Three-Dimensional Structure of Proteins by X-Ray Crystallography, Using and Interpreting Structures. in Addition Students Will Acquire the Knowledge of Structure Analysis and Validation, as Well as Understanding Structural Papers. the Practical Part Will Comprise a Hands-on Exercise to Use Diverse Crystallographic Software to Solve a Structure. the Exercise Starts with Diffraction Dataset, Data Processing, Phasing by Molecular Replacement, Model Building, Refinement and Validation.

Learning Outcomes
On Successful Completion of This Module, Students Should Be Able to:
1. Read and Understand Structural Papers.
2. Understand the Basics of Structure Determination by X-Ray Crystallography.
3. Familiarity and Awareness with the Various Software Packages Used in X-Ray Structure Determination.
4. Ultimately, Students Will Gain Confidence and Familiarity to Incorporate and Approach Structural Approaches in Their Research.
