The research is devoted to the study of the transient behavior of stochastic processes of pure coagulation and of pure fragmentation, and is a continuation of the Part 3 of Ph.D. thesis of Michael Erlihson under the supervision of Professor Boris L. Granovsky.The following progress was attained. It was obtained a characterization of rates of pure coagulation processes with the gibbsian time evolution and it was suggested a combinatorial approach for the study of transient behaviour of processes of pure coagulation and pure fragmentation .
In particular the pure fragmentation version of the Becker-Doring process was studied.
We derive explicit solutions for a wide class of rates and initial conditions for the processes considered.
