Time plays an important role in many systems. In certain areas - such as auditing and decision analysis, it is required to use past values as an input for decision processes.
In this work we implement a temporal database, and a simple query language in which we can execute queries in a past point of view. We also implement some patterns from event processing patterns. Research was set with the objective of implementing the database in a way that:
? Data will be saved and queries can be made against it.
? Database is extendable, versatile and flexible.
These requirements are vital to guarantee that the database could be fully implemented and utilized for a vast a variety of problems and challenges.
Keeping this goal in mind while designing the database ensured that it is built in the best possible way to answer this goal and thus generate higher value for the various potential users, to answer a variety of challenges.
